115 Electrical Troubleshooting (12 hours / 365 days to complete)

This four module series is designed to present the HVACR technician/student with the analysis and diagnostic skills to identify and solve electrical problems in HVACR systems and equipment. You'll explore critical topics like electrical testing and service instruments. Reading and understanding electrical schematics and diagrams is focused upon in great detail. You will gain practical expertise in troubleshooting electrical problems and issues. The course is not limited to one manufacturer or type of system. Emphasis is put on real-world operations and troubleshooting scenarios.
The modules making up the course are:
• 115-1 Test instruments and Service Equipment
• 115-2 Schematic Symbol Fundamentals
• 115-3 Using Schematics to Troubleshoot
• 115-4 HVACR Electrical Troubleshooting – Deciding Where To Begin
Each module begins with a description or overview of the learning module and a list of learning objectives addressed within that module. As you study, focus on the stated learning objectives. Participants will be introduced to the listed topics and become familiar with HVAC electrical systems and Troubleshooting / Operation techniques.
All courses are aligned with the National Standards for HVACR education and the Building Performance industry as formulated by numerous industry groups such as ANSI/ACCA Quality Standards, ANSI/ ACCA/ ASHRAE Standard 180, AHRI, HVAC Excellence, NATE, BPI, NASRC and others.
