Refrigerant leak detection, evacuation, and charging are critical to ensure the reliability of any refrigeration system. This advanced course leads you through the information and procedures you need to perform the necessary tasks in step-by-step detail. You will learn How to identify when and where there is a leak, Leak detection methods, Reasons for system evacuation, Operation of a Vacuum Pump, Operation of a Micron Gauge, Importance of the correct charge, and Methods used to check a charge. You’ll acquire all the knowledge you need to do the job right. Instruction aligns with ACCA Quality Installation and ACCA/ ASHRAE Standard 180. Prerequisites: You will want to have completed 141 HVACR Refrigeration I, and 142 HVACR Refrigeration II, or have a working knowledge of the content of those courses prior to enrollment into this advanced course.
