201 High Efficiency HVAC (12 hours/60 days) Intermediate The intent of this course is to give maintenance staff a feel for the equipment present in their buildings. With this understanding, you will be better able to perform and handle service issues when required. The course begins with a basic introduction of the layout of the various components of an HVAC system utilized in large and small commercial facilities. Then the modules expand into the specifics of chilled water, refrigeration, and heat rejection systems. The course continues with a focus on central chiller, fan coils, and chilled beam systems. And the course finishes up with a focus on Demand Controlled Outside Air (DCOA), packaged and variable refrigerant flow systems. This course is recognized for 12 hours of continuing education (CEHs) applicable to NATE re-certification. Module topics covered:
